Ron Santo: Unlike many of baseball's long ball artists, Ron Santo was not a one-dimensional performer. He was a home run hitter who also contributed with his glove. Santo, who played his final season with the Chicago White Sox in 1974, was nearly finished as an active player before he revealed that he was a diabetic.
