Richie Ashburn went 3 for 5 in the opener and Robin Roberts helped his own cause with 2 for 4, including a triple. In the second game, Del Ennis blasted a three run homer in the first inning as the Phillies jumped on Giants' starter Johnny Antonelli for four runs in the first frame. Willie Mays homered for the Giants in a losing cause.
