May 25, 1955 Philadelphia News Flash, May 26, 1955, Robins Roberts limited the New York Giants to five hits and pushed his season record to 6-3 while Murry Dickson and Johnny Meyer combined on a 8-hitter in the second game of the double-header as the Phils beat the Giants twice 8-3 and 5-2. Richie Ashburn went 3 for 5 in the opener and Robin Roberts helped his own cause with 2 for 4, including a triple.

In the second game, Del Ennis blasted a three run homer in the first inning as the Phillies jumped on Giants' starter Johnny Antonelli for four runs in the first frame. Willie Mays homered for the Giants in a losing cause.
