Jim Hegan, Catcher, Cleveland Indians 1950's.  All-Star Jim Hegan was one of the top catchers in the 1950's.  Jim was considered greatest at catching foul pop ups. Hegan made only 80 errors in his major league career which began in 1941. Hegan was a popular player with the Indian fans.  Capable hitter. Jim Hegan was a master at calling pitches and of handling the Indians "Big Four" pitching staff. Jim Hegan is considered one of the premier catchers of all-time.
