The Baltimore Sun Papers
Boston,
Sept. 8, 1918; Forty wounded American Soldiers, who
came back from France last Saturday, enjoyed today's
world series game between the Boston Red Sox and the
Chicago Cubs. The soldiers stormed hospital physicians
for permission to see the game and the Boston chapter
of the Red Cross furnished automobiles to transport
them to the field. Babe
Ruth
pitched the whole nine innings and the Red Sox
won the fourth game of the world series 3-2 over the
Cubs. |
