Josh Clarke

 

A fast running outfielder, Josh Clarke played during major league baseball’s Dead Ball Era and hit a career-high .257 with the Cardinals in 1905. He signed with Cleveland of the American League and stole 37 bases and scored 70 runs in 1908. Altogether he played 5 seasons in the majors, including six games in 1898 with Louisville of the National League. He played 196 games in the outfield, 16 at second base and 4 at the shortstop position.
