A flame throwing right-hander, Alan Foster blazed his way thru the minors, pitching in places like Santa Barbara of the California League in 1965, then fashioned a resounding 11-5 record with a 2.86 ERA and striking out 125 batters in 132 innings for Albuquerque of the Texas League in 1966. Alan Foster fanned 127 in 142 innings for Spokane in 1967 and then was called up by the LA Dodgers in late 1967, pitching in 4 games. Pitching full time with the Los Angeles Dodgers starting in 1969 Alan Foster had two solid seasons before being traded to Cleveland on December 11 1970 for pitcher Ray Lamb and c/of Duke Sims. He later pitched for 4 different teams. |
