Baseball Historian Biography

A power-pitcher Aaron Harang uses an assortment of pitches to stifle batters and his major league career has improved with experience. The burly 6 ft 7 inches, 270- pound right-hander throws a low 90 mph fastball, and has good spin on his slider and curve ball.

In 2006 Aaron Harang posted a very solid 16-11 record with a 3.76 earned run average, completed 6 of 35 starts, working a career-high 234.1 innings. And this season, 2007, including a 5-2 win over the Cubs on September 18, Harang has improved his season record to a brilliant 16-4 mark. In ringing up win number 16, he worked 7 innings, yielded just 6 hits, 2-runs and struck out 6.

Watching him pitch, one certainly notes a mound master at work. Scouts note: Harang has ‘good span on his pitches’ meaning he stays inside and outside but still over the plate.
