Heinie Kappel Shortstop, Third Baseman, 2nd Baseman OF  5 ft 8 inches 160 lbs

Heinie Kappel was a noted aggressive fielder and fast runner, He played 3 years in the majors, his first two major league seasons with the Cincinnati Redlegs Baseball Team of the American Association, 1887-1888. A solid batsman, Heinie Kappel hit .282 and .259 with the Redlegs and .272 With Columbus of the AA. Younger brother of Joe Kappel. Lined 29 extra base hits during his professional career.
