Baseball Historian Biography

Bob Keegan, Chicago White Sox Pitcher, Right-handed - a popular player among Chicago White Sox fans, he was 7-5 W/L, with a sparkling 2.74 ERA in his rookie year of 1953. He followed that season with a brilliant sophomore season, posting a strong 16-9 record, with a 3.09 ERA, completing 14-of-29 starts, while working 209.7 innings.

In 1957 the 6 ft 2 ½ inch 207-pound Bob Keegan pitched a no-hitter in old Comiskey Park in Chicago and finished 10-8 for the season.

Nicknamed Smiley because of his pleasant personality. Bob Keegan always took the time after games to sign autographs. baseballhistorian.com
