1998 TOPPS BB Card Second Baseman A native of Rawlins Wyoming, Mike Lansing had a fine rookie season with the Montreal Expos in 1993, hitting a solid .287 with a career-high .352 on-base-percentage in 491 at bats spanning 141 games. In 1997 he set team batting records for second basemen with 45 doubles, with 20 homers and with 70 RBI. On May 7 1997 he hit two home runs in one inning against San Francisco. An aggressive player he played fundamental baseball and was the Expos team captain prior to be traded to Colorado in 1998. Baseball Historian |
