His younger brother Henry also pitched in the major leagues. Jake had a very productive rookie season, 1905, with the St Louis CArdinals. He had a 15-16 record with a fine 3.50 earned run average, completed 26-of-29 games, 242 innings. The next season John Thielman was injury plagued, pitching in just one game. Traded to Cleveland he finished with a 11-8 record in 1907. |
