Women's Baseball History
An excellent all-around player, Sally Meier was a speedy, sure handed outfield ballhawk and one of the best hitters in the All-American Girls Professional League. In 1948 she led her team in batting, hits, runs and RBIs.
A line drive hitter, she walked 219 times, struck out just 277 times in her career and stole over 25 bases five different times in her 8 year career with various professional women baseball teams.
