A standout outfielder, the curly-haired Mary Harris was one of the clutch-hitters for the Boston Olympets, a highly rated women's baseball team. The popular Mary Harris, of Arlington, Virginia, was one of 5 girls featured in 1940s newspaper ads selling Moxie Ginger Ale.
