An excellent baseball player, Freida Frantzlen was one of the best women ballplayers prior to World War II. She could hit, catch and throw with the best during her time. One of the pioneering women on a paid professional softball team, Freida Frantzlen played indoors in the Boston Garden with the Boston Olympets.
