An All-Star performer, Lefty Hohlmayer was one of the top all-around professional ballplayers in the AA/Girls/PBL during the late 1940s. Playing before packed stadiums, Alice Hohlmayer put on a show on the pitcher's mound and with her bat that was second to none. One of the league's top pitchers, Alice Hohlmayer also played first base when she wasn't pitching, and her accomplishments on and off the field served as catalyst for future women sports' heroes... In her peak years, she lined a base hit off legendary pitcher Sachel Paige in an All-Star Game Exhibition.
