Most of these women All-Stars were featured in the movie - A League of Their Own. For the first time in the 4-year-old league an official All-Star team was selected as a result of the combined vote of the managers who were active in 1946. All of those selected on this 1946 All-Star aggregation gained a clear-cut margin in total points and left no question as to their qualifications. And, as many as 53 different players received votes, which indicated how many of these women were top-notch baseball players. 1946 All-Stars All-American Girls Professional Baseball League: 1st Base: Dorothy Kamenshek, Rockford Peaches... 2nd Base: Sohie Kurys, Racine Belles... 3rd Base: Maddy English, Racine Belles...
