Minnie played the game with great enthusiasm; streaking around the bases and running down fly balls. Minnie drew many base on balls, slashed base hits and had a high on base pct.

Minnie MinosoAn exciting player for fans to watch, Minnie was really a 'play to win baseball player' who was  always giving it his best shot.  In 1954, Minnie batted .320, with 29 doubles, 18 triples, 19 homers, scored 119 runs and drove in 116.

Minnie batted over .300 in 7 different years, 3 years each with over 100 runs scored and over 100 RBI's. 

The Chicago White Sox honored Minnie Minoso by retiring his uniform number; #9.
