Baseball Historian Biography

Rick Camp was one of the National Leagues leading relievers from the late 1970s thru 1981. He fashioned two sterling back-to-back seasons, 1980-1981, allowing less than 2 runs per game both years. In 1980 he saved a career high 22 games with a low 1.91 earned run average and in 1981 had a stingy 1.78 ERA and led the NL in relief wins with 9.

From 1982 thru 1984 Rick Camp worked as a starter and reliever, winning a total of 29 games in those seasons.
