Union Grove edges Baldwin Woodville behind Fitzpatrick in 2011 June 2011 WIAA Division 2 Title Game Girls High School Softball The strong arm of softball pitcher Alice Fitzpatrick and outstanding fielding by her teammates provided the Union Grove Broncos with the Division 2 Wisconsin State softball championship. Alice Fitzpatrick, a junior, gave up just 3 hits, struck out 12 en-route to a 1-0 victory over previously unbeaten Baldwin-Woodville High School. The winning run came when UG Katrina O’Keefe walked, stole second base and scored on a single with 2 outs by senior 3rd baseman Natalie Zanella. Katrina O’Keefe, a junior made a very fine defensive play in the outfield as did Natalie Zanella at third. It was the second straight shutout in the tournament for Alice Fitzpatrick.
